Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-01

This policy describes permitted and prohibited uses of Polly's Web. It works alongside our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

Permitted and prohibited uses

Polly's Web exists so keepers can track care, learn, and share their love of jumping spiders. Use it for that — and please don't use it for the things below.

1. What you must not do

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  • Harass, threaten, or demean other keepers.
  • Probe, scan, or test the security of the service, or bypass authentication or rate limits.
  • Upload malicious code, attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, or interfere with the service's operation.
  • Scrape, harvest, or systematically copy content or account data of other keepers.
  • Upload content you do not have the right to use, or content that is unlawful, harmful, or objectionable.
  • Misrepresent your identity or your affiliation with Polly's Web.
  • Resell or commercialize access to the service without our written agreement.

2. Rate limits and availability

To protect the service for everyone, we apply rate limits to account actions, uploads, and automated access. Consistently exceeding reasonable use may result in temporary blocks. We may suspend or end access for violations of this policy, with notice where practicable.

3. Reporting violations

If you become aware of a violation, contact [email protected]. We review every report.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The current version is always on this page.
